Overview

Dr. Evgeny Tikhonravov has been a Research Scientist at the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, Georgia Institute of Technology, since February 2023. He has authored over 20 publications on legal theory and legal history, with a current research focus on the dynamics of territorial annexations and their recognition. His work is particularly concentrated on the Soviet Union’s annexation of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

Dr. Tikhonravov has received multiple scholarships and grants, including Fulbright, DAAD, and ERASMUS, which have supported his academic and research endeavors across Western Europe and the United States. A native Russian speaker, he is also proficient in English and German.
