Event: Pizza, Policy, and International Affairs
Join the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs and School of Public Policy at Georgia Tech as they host General Phil Breedlove, USAF (Ret), retired NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe, Stephanie Stuckey, former Chief of Resilience for the City of Atlanta, and Admiral Sandy Winnefeld, USN (Ret), retired Vice Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff under President Obama.
Gen Breedlove's topic for his talk is “War Below the Lines.” His talk will cover whether the US is ready to “meet” Russia’s, and now China’s, HYBRID war. Stephanie Stuckey will be speaking about "Bouncing Forward: How Urban Resilience can Save the World." She will explore how cities can be powerful incubators for innovation and change in the face of a warming climate and rapid urbanization. Adm Winnefeld plans to talk on “The Department of Defense and the Three Horizons of Innovation.” He will discuss how organizations fall into well-worn habits, bureaucratic processes, and strongly held beliefs that can mask real, disruptive change coming over the horizon.
