About the Project

This project developed a training module that taught community health organizations in rural Kenya to leverage geospatial tools to effectively address health needs in low-resource settings. The students worked with Global Health Action, an Atlanta-based non-profit, to pick the right geospatial tool, develop training materials, and implement virtual training sessions with 8 partner organizations in Kenya. The effective use of QGIS for conducting household surveys allows community health organizations to more effectively use their limited resources to bring maximal benefits to their clients.
