Soccer, Community, Innovation & Politics

Georgia Tech’s VIP programs engages undergraduate and graduate students with professors in specialized teams. These teams work on long-term projects that take place over the course of multiple semesters.

The SCIP VIP leverages the beautiful game of soccer and other sports to understand and to accelerate community and youth transformation. Teams study various forms of innovation, work with local organizations that use soccer to transform youth in the state of Georgia and beyond, produce children’s books and other media, generate resources for community development, create new soccer datasets, host conferences on soccer’s societal impact, and produce media to inspire the world about local superheroes and community leaders.
