Noah Crafts’ research is on the internal dynamics of China-funded cross-border infrastructure projects as he was interested in how actors outside the Chinese government shape their development and execution.

The Cuban Revolution lasted from 1953 to 1959 and ended with the United States’ backed dictator, Fulgencio Batista, fleeing the country. After the revolution, Fidel Castro assumed military and political power as Cuba’s prime minister, and soon after enacted socialist policies, including the nationalization of oil refineries and property.
