About the Project

Youth radicalization online is a growing problem, increasing the risk of violent crime. This report analyzes the issue and evaluates the Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA), noting that radicalization is driven by societal, social, and psychological factors. KOSA aims to address these factors by preventing online bullying and harassment, promoting transparency, encouraging research, providing parental controls, and disabling addictive features. However, KOSA needs stronger age verification, clearer language, a more proactive approach, and other interventions like education and dialogue to tackle the societal, social, and psychological factors comprehensively.
