A Year of War in Ukraine
Posted February 24, 2023
Feb. 24 marks the one-year anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Since the war began, the United States has sent more than $48 billion in humanitarian and military aid to Ukraine, nearly 3 million people have been forced from their homes, and upwards of 200,000 military and civilian casualties have been recorded. So where do things stand now, as we enter the second year of the first major land war in Europe in nearly 80 years? Ivan Allen College experts have been tracking the conflict from its earliest roots, and we asked them to look back on the last year of the war, and ahead to what is to come in the months ahead. Find out what they had to say at https://iac.gatech.edu/news-events/experts-reflect-year-war-ukraine.
